Handicap From 24 to 18

In a span of 6 months, my handicap came down from 24 to 18.

This 6 pts improvement is largely in part due to -

1. An equipment upgrade. I now use Titleist AP1 irons, Callway Diablo FW rescue and Nike putter.

2. Played almost every week at a 9 hole course and almost 1x a month on an 18 hole course in JB.
Feb - CNY holiday ponderosa
Mar - holy week at legends
Apr  - ponderosa (high 90s)
May - labor day at Orchard (2x high 90s)
June- school holiday at Marina Bay (mid 90)
July - couples at austin and daiman (low 90)
Aug - palm resort and austin (low 90)

On the other hand,  I have observed my driving distance hasnt improved yet.

Good thing my irons allowed me to come nearer to the hole, chip and pitch close to the flag and 2 putt for bogey. This pattern lowered my score in the low 90s.

Two strategies therefore that I need to work on:

A. Longer driving distance and.
B. More accurate chipping and putting

The key is for a more precise shot calculating where the ball will roll and to score low to mid 80s.

Bottomeline its the chipping and putting skill that would allow me to reach single handicap level.

But between theory and reality is a lot of hardwork and time $pent on the course.
