MY LOWEST SCORE! September good vibes!!

I was reading my 2015 post and smiled when I posted it was at this time I made my lowest ever round of 83 at JB, Malaysia. Fast forward 1 year later and this time,I made my all time lowest in my golf adventure with a score of 76 in BAGUIO!!!

What's with September giving me good vibes? Was it the relaxed and not tensed atmosphere? Was it the vacation mood? Was it the 'ber' months syndrome? Whatever it is, Im excited what is Sept 2017 in store for me...

2016 Sept Latest Golf Equipment Purchase!

Finally, after careful consideration, I completed my Nike Vapor collection of driver, rescue and 3 woods. The thing is - they are all made from stiff shaft, so I better need to practice more including adding more umph to my swing speed. Else this shaft is going to give me high score!

Sep 2016 Phil Golf Tour - 5x5x5x3

Yes, 5 rounds at 5 courses in 5 days and in 3 regions (Regions 1 Baguio ,3 Pampanga and NCR).

For my first round, at CJH in Baguio, I started my drive right in the middle of the fairway. This bodes well, I thought. Plus the fact that it is cold and walking, my body is super relaxed as well as my mind. And so as the round progressed, my swing was stable. Add to that that Im using a lighter clubs courtesy of my wife's graphite irons and driver. In the end, I made 3 birdies, 8 pars, bogeys and double bogey to card a 75 round, my lowest ever in my golfing life!!!

Next came Clark Sun valley. The place was gorgeous!!! Even though the course is carved on a hill, and the cliffs and ravines are horrendous, my confidence is steaming high coming off a 75 round in baguio. In the end, the heat caught up on us, and so with the lack of sleep. I ended carding a 97 with 2 or 3 holes where I made double pars due to lost ball in the ravines!

Third is in Sherwood. Brings back good memories! Since the place is nearby our manila house, my wife and I decided to make this our 3rd round venue. I started losing 1 ball on my second shot towards the hole with grounded rescue club. After recovering from 4 pars on later holes, i carded 93 at the final closing.

Fourth is Riviera Club in Silang. This is treacherous! The rough are not as high as Clark. But it was SOOO rough you ended adding 1 stroke per hole if youre ball happens to drop by this. In the end, this has been my worst round ever with 101 as final round!

Lastly, I decided to make 1 last round before we head back home. And so I chose Eagle ridge for proximity to my house. I started well on my front 9 carding 46. But my back 9 proved disastrous with wild drives to the rough. Ended the course with 99. Not bad for a first timer on the 2nd most difficult course in this 4 course layout!

Overall, this is how PRO's life is. 5 days golf (including practice rounds) on a 1 week tourney schedule. Assume one makes it to the weekend, the last 2 rounds will be a test of mental strength more than anything!

Priceless!!!
